OUR PURPOSE

Chosen Butterflies Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources, advocacy, and a compassionate community for individuals affected by breast cancer. We support both women and men in navigating their journeys, transforming lives, and fostering resilience in the fight against this disease. Together, we create hope and empower those we serve.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to empower and uplift women and men diagnosed with breast cancer by offering compassionate support, educational resources, and financial assistance. Through community outreach, advocacy efforts, and partnerships with healthcare providers, we strive to ensure every woman and man facing breast cancer feels supported, informed, and empowered to navigate their diagnosis with strength and dignity.

HOW IT STARTED?

Meet Debra Westberry

Founder and President

Debra is a resilient Breast Cancer Survivor and Client Service Specialist. She started her Breast Cancer Journey in 2023, from diagnosis to treatment and surgery. God’s Grace, Trusting the Process, and the Support of family and friends have been pillars throughout her journey. June 1st 2024 she celebrated her 1 Year Cancer Free Anniversary! To date Debra dedicates her time to empowering women and men diagnosed with Breast Cancer by providing proper support and resources to overcome challenges. Chosen Butterflies Inc was founded and inspired from Debra’s journey, the journey of so many close to her, and the loss of two sisters to Breast Cancer.

Meet Brittany Seales-Gilbert

Co-Founder and Vice President

Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2016, Brittany underwent treatment and surgery, achieving cancer remission in 2017. She attributes her success to faith and the steadfast support of family and friends. As a survivor, nurse, and business owner, Brittany brings diverse strengths to her role. The founding of Chosen Butterflies Inc, in collaboration with Debra Westberry, was inspired by Brittany’s personal experience and her connections to others affected by Breast Cancer. Her enduring commitment is to foster awareness, advocacy, education, and support for individuals impacted by Breast Cancer, guiding them through their unique journeys.
